ART WORLD CRED

What do restaurant owners want to hang on their walls? Probably Amanda Williams‘ decorative paintings and photographs. Her installations are better but not by much; it’s still the uber cliché identity politics art, just not the type you can pin over your couch.

Still, Williams has shown at countless galleries and museums across the country. Sara Tecchia Roma, Studio Museum in Harlem, YBCA in San Francisco and DePaul University's Art Museum in Chicago. This doesn't fix the work, but she's at least been at it for a while.
