Color Wheel is a series in which we identify a trending color in art, and post a daily image that illustrates its popularity. This week’s color is all-purpose pink.
If this week’s Color Wheels have taught us anything, pink is a draining and oppressive color. Tabor Robak understands this.
He uses the color liberally in this 2012 painting “Cold Storage,” what looks like the ice cream morgue, shrouded in the type of mist that seems to be popular in graveyard renderings. Pink is a dish best served cold. Stay away from that banana.
