Best Link Ever: The Useless Web

by Ian Marshall on August 8, 2013 · 1 comment Best Link Ever!

The internet is a big, beautiful place, and thanks to Tim Holman it’s now easier than ever to get directed to single statement, single page websites. Rejoice, for the Internet Gods have spoken. The Useless Web takes you to any number of new and classic internet goodies with the click of a button, making it our new Best Link Ever. Say goodbye to the next hour of your life.

We recognize a few classic sites but there’s plenty of new faces, too. I love me some pug licking at your computer screen, Oprah’s bee swarm, and Leekspin! Now I’ve got a few sites to add to my love list; twin sites that redirect to one another ad infinitum, a Flash animation Piet Mondrian painting, and an overjoyed cube that quickly gets horrified if you go to close the tab.

There are so many websites!  The Useless Web’s the biggest, most well-curated distraction in recent memory and thanks to the open submission feature, we expect this meme-portal will continue to grow.

For the impatient, you can read the source code for the whole list of sites: http://www.theuselessweb.com/js/uselessweb.js
