Nate Hill is copying us! Last night, the artist launched Artfagcity.me, his own “hack” of our blog, and we couldn’t be happier. He could’ve chosen any number of art blogs, but he chose us. Thanks—we’re honored. So far, Artfagcity.me looks just like our site, but with our posts rewritten to include some mention of him. Poor Nate: we haven’t mentioned him on the blog since February, so I guess we should do it more often. Here we go: Nate Hill, Nate Hill, Nate Hill, and more Nate Hill!

Consider this my official petition for my title to be “Senior Nate Hill Correspondent.”
Right. We need to fight over better titles.
The project is satire for people who think I think that. For anyone interested in reading the brief back story it’s here: http://natehillisnuts.com/web/artfagcityme/ Otherwise this post was entertaining if also incomplete.
The project is satire directed at people who think I’m narcissistic. For anyone interested in reading the brief back story just go to my site.
Otherwise this post was entertaining yet incomplete.
Nate it’s cool, just update the content of this post on artfagcity.me! Everyone wins! Perfect coverage for everyone! Related, I’m considering hacking artfagcity.me and porting it to artmancity.me, replacing every instance of “Nate Hill” to “Man Bartlett.” 😀
only if I can screen cap that content update and repost on my YT channel
Man — You should hit Tyler. MAN.

Nate… we’re all narcissistic. you, me, R. Emora. Artfagcity… Artist’s have to be belligerent!!.
The project is in response to critics who since 2007 have explained away my work as narcissism, attention whoring, and PR skills/stunts. That lowers the artistic merit. That was the inspiration for this work, and it was left out of the post.
as an artist it’s your job not to care what critics think. just have fun and don’t take things too personally but maybe you already are.
By critics I mean professional and regular people on the street. I care what they think because if they misunderstand the work, I want them to get it (if they are interested). It doesn’t mean I’m not having fun.
Ahh… gotcha and very true. Getting people to see things the way you do is never easy. That’s also part of the job description.
We’re critics, we don’t rewrite press releases. The project is interesting knowing the background, but the public can find that info on your site, or figure it out by spending time on artfagcity.me.
I don’t have the same confidence in the public as you do figuring it out. I imagine half if not most people stop at your “take” which is incomplete. Since my site was not linked, I feel it necessary to point out the complexity of the project in the comments.
Man — You should hit Tyler. MAN.
I need a scripted version where I can make an art fag city site and insert my name all over instead of Nate HIll, like an adaptation of Scott Blake’s Chuck Close filter.
