- The Met hires the Chief Curator of Tate Modern Sheena Wagstaff to head up their Modern and Contemporary Art departments. The Times reminds us that their critic Holland Cotter didn’t think the museum needed to become experts in the field of contemporary art; according to the critic there’s already too much of that. Evidently the Met sees things differently. They promise to make more contemporary art hires. Vogel also questions why the museum did not chose American talent.
