Bruce High Quality Foundation, Teach 4 Amerika*, 2011

Fantastic fundraising news! We sold close to $2,500 in Bruce High Quality Foundation prints yesterday at 20×200. This number doesn’t include donations made directly through the blog or just purchase tickets to the Art Fag City Rob Pruitt Art Awards* **, so the total collected dollars will actually be a bit higher.

These are excellent numbers and a great start to our campaign. As I’ve mentioned previously, for a limited time only, those who purchase a print either at the $200 or $1000 print size will receive complimentary tickets to the Art Fag City Rob Pruitt Art Awards. Definitely act quickly on this because this deal won’t extend long past the New Year.

Plus, while I recognize I’m biased, I think the print is awesome. I’ve even bought one for myself, because, really, what are the chances a giant limo Chris Burden’s lamppost forest won’t be the subject of conversation if it’s hanging on my wall? As of today, none.

Is Art Fag City a registered non-profit?

Will Brand January 3, 2012 at 5:44 pm

Yes and no. The blog itself isn’t a registered nonprofit (yet!) but donations to the blog *do* go to a nonprofit – NYFA – before they reach us. What that means is that donations and benefit tickets are tax-deductible, but print purchases are not.

the reason the money goes through NYFA is because AFC is NOT a non-profit, but a FOR PROFIT

Yep. Insofar as we can be anything, anyway, since we’re not incorporated.
