Who doesn’t enjoy receiving profanity laced email when money you believe to be rightfully yours is not in the offing. Personally I prefer the silent treatment, that way there’s always the hope that the accused party is aware of their misgivings and may or may not if enough pressure is applied eventually come clean.

My belief is that there is far more than meets the eye to this story and is likely about power, control and money and the Plantiff’s use of the media, in particular the hiring of a Wall Street Law Firm is representative of an undercurrent to undermine the stature of the defendant to extract a release from contractual obligations or payments one side is obligated to make to the other. A refusal to speak to the media is not indicative of guilt and repeating of allegations reported is not a conclusive journalistic inquiry. There is a danger in these times to use the media to stain anyone who you are engaged in battle with as some kind of Bernie Madoff.
