the canadian is right. This is a rather tried and true internet meme. Not sure why you owuld take offense because of the implied absurdity of the comparisons. No one is calling Deitch a Hitler (the very thought! Ha!) – in many of these videos as a class, Hitler becomes someone else – you are made to see the Hitler character as THE object of ridicule. Not so here – but dont jokes go stale when you write about them? i thnk that is part of the problem of art criticism. On another level, i think a good writer like the person who scripted this, can take on many voices, and when reviewing something, it is possible to give a bit of the flavor of the reviewed by doing some gnarley shredding of the english language. Like, totally, for sure.
