The Official AFC PUSSY FAGGOT Slide Show + Tattoos!

Thanks to the hard work of Art Fag City intern Marina Galperina, readers won’t be subjected to my own half-assed photographic documentation of PUSSY FAGGOT at The Delancey last Thursday. The above slideshow provides a record of AFC’s screening of Ryan Trecartin’s video P.opular S.ky during the bar’s happy hour, which was part of curator Earl Dax’s larger line up of queer performance and culture.

The event also provided a venue for AFC’s official, artist designed, temporary tattoo launch. Thanks to Double Triple’s Phillip Niemeyer for not only designing the package, but conceiving the first round of tattoos. Inspired by Ryan Trecartin’s videos, these tats include dripping blood, a flag wagging a windows logo, and text such as “Why aren’t you documenting me?” My hope is that this will appease the number of people who have demanded to know why AFC has not provided them with an opportunity to affix fake dripping blood on their necks. As readers might imagine, that group is rather small, consisting mostly of AFC’s designer, but I believe he may have tapped into a largely unspoken desire.

    i find that amusing – the title, as when i’d lived in new york prior to 9/11, i’d not considered much pussy about faggots and i wouldn’t have made the vajajay crystal encrusted association to the variance between cock and cunt, alas, post 9/11, new york seems very low rent and laramie project runway is very pussy faggot, as spineless uncle tom within vanity ventures as a contradiction to Act-Up…yes, you’re right. as for the other mention about the conceptual piece and gathering for discussions (or live twitter chats a propos to picking one’s nose), that was amusing as well. as some people say good luck or enjoy something, that i’ve been quickly tickling my larynx with my middle finger on most days any longer. if there is truly anything commendable, credible, or with balls — it’s a shame that so much seems “weimar regression cabaret kitsch” over the past several visits….yet, your comment about a recent conceptual piece — guess, i should like some pieces, but i don’t — as i don’t like uncle toms and i loathe missionary tacos.
