His early solo albums were amazing in their intricacy and experimentalism. For that and other projects Wendy White mentions he can perhaps be forgiven for more recent efforts like The New Cars (performing "The Cars' classic songs, Rundgren's solo work, and some new material," per Wikipedia) but learning about the Tums sale gives me a stomach ache.
