This write up has the feel of someone who hasn’t been to the fairs each year and is trying to catch. Contrary to the rather flimsy claim that Basel survived because it adapted to a new environment by hosting smaller parties, I’d argue Basel fails to grow because it hasn’t changed enough. Also, since Gavin Brown was absent last year too, he’s not quite that notable as a non-participant.
