“This quiz is really fucking hard!” exclaims AFC Editor Paddy Johnson. This week’s Best Link Ever, steakhouseorgaybar.com is indeed hard–and no pun intended! The site, simply structured, asks its visitor whether they think a franchise name is a restaurant or a homosexual drinking establishment. Although there’s a wide gap in the demographic of the respective businesses clientele, don’t assume their titles are easily distinguishable. Steakhouses such as “Cowbobas” and “The Velvet Hammer” gave us a run for our money. Other quizzes of note include AFC’s own Comicon vs. the Art Fairs and Donald Judd or Cheap Furniture.

I think the extreme difficulty of this quiz is indicative of how much the internet’s sophistication has grown since the days of “Gay or Eurotrash?”

Interestingly there also used to be an auto body shop here in Portland called the Velvet Hammer. Which actually makes more sense than a steakhouse with the same name.
