Some of us still kinda wonder what in the world was that Ken Gilcrest thing to begin with. I remember first seeing it, and thought it was a commercial for Crest toothpaste given the sudden usage of characters and design motifs that were present in their advertising of the day. I kinda had the impression this was like some off-hours thing done by the guys who were working on that commercial and decided to have a little fun with making up this short music video thingy. It's something to think about, but it was came off pretty weird seeing it sometimes on The Disney Channel 20 years go.

Thanks, and great photo, Javier!
Young Warhol meets David Lynch eating in a Bob's Big Boy.
The Telex is a great contrast between the peppiness of the music and the deadpan lethargy of the performance (also, singing about getting old). The perfect anti-rock video.
