Matthew Barney Facebook Divorces Bjork

Great news for women into dudes who anally excrete fleshy forms: Gawker reports Matthew Barney, artist best known for the Cremaster Cycle films has changed his Facebook relationship status to single.  Of course, who the hell knows how accurate this is — “no longer listed in a relationship” appears when anyone removes that status and people often do for privacy — though Gawker seems to be suggesting that underneath all their blurred Barney Facebook information the artist is actually listed as single.   Given that Art Fag City has 40 friends in common with the artist and it’s publicly known he’s married to Bjork, the likelihood the profile is indeed his seems high as does the legitimacy of the story.

Too late Franklin. You have joined the Matthew Barney dialogue, like it or not. Bwaahahahaha…

After meeting Bjork at a Music Industry party, where no one could remain near her because of her lack of personal hygiene, this doesn’t come as a shock.

I haven’t been to this site in a while but I am sort of curious where this AFC project is headed… I’m reading these headlines about Barney and a divorce and wonder if you even looked up any information? (BTW-Congrats, this post does rank very high in Google) For starters, was he ever married to Bjork? I heard they were just partners -which has many definitions for different people. Anyhow out of curiosity I check wikipedia just now and first of all found Matthew Barney’s entry written very PR style -if you know what I mean- and no mention of his family. My instinct told me to look into the history of the wiki entry and sure enough at one point the article was much more in the usual style of wiki, and it did use the word “married” but then changed to “partner”. Bjork’s entry still does mention Barney as her “partner” as a matter of fact.

best,

“Sort of curious where this AFC project is headed…I’m reading these headlines about Barney and a divorce and wonder if you even looked up any information?”.

What are you asking? The implication seems to be that I’m not doing enough research overall, but you’re using a post that states upfront its interest in the use Internet culture as an imperfect news source as evidence. What’s more, your own “research” simply uses another imperfect Internet resource. Everyone knows they weren’t legally married (except that they live together so for tax purposes they probably are). The question is whether they are still together.

If you have a complaint be specific about it.
