I have to admit that the heat was really off putting. I definitely did not look my best for all those hunky queer zine boys, but a few highlights stood out, including what appeared to be a good representation from Europe in the form of Book Works and Printed Project. Both had a friendly bunch that made negotiating the heat a bit more manageable.

One criticism! Queerzines are so 20 years ago, and to be honest were not even interesting then!

It was extremely hot in there!
Went twice .
One to the bloodbath at the Phillips auction and the second time to the fair. It was good but , a bit crowded. What made me happy was to find prints of photographer Job Piston at Silverman for a great price. the booth for Iconoclast had smoe great print bargains too!

Hi,

Those pink stripes are actually the installation for the Saturday@Phillps auction. Nothing to do with the book fair.

Thanks!

I'd go, though I prefer wine and cognac, beer and voddka will do nicely. They have it here in LA? Go to the UCLA bookfair every year. Got free Qurans a coupla years ago. As they wife was brought up in Islam, was pretty cool, and my youngest devours religious books. Doesn't believe them , but searching. Except for the book of Mormon, freaked him out. LDS peope are the nicest in the world, probably becaue their religion is so bizarre, they gotta compensate.

Have fun! Nothing wrong with that. Living to be happy 24/7 is whats messed up. Fulfillment the true goal. That takes, whats the word people? WORK!
