I’m imposing Canada Day celebrations on this blog. As a Canadian it seems only appropriate.

  • 1 41 – Not too shabby eh? Thomas Walkom reflects on Canada’s 141th birthday for the Toronto Star. He thinks Canada’s survived conservative Prime Minister Stephen Harper, which frankly remains to be seen, but whatever. He also identifies Canadian writers as pessimists, so perhaps I’m just living up to the national character.
  • The Walrus, a Canadian publication covering environmental issues, politics, arts, and culture has a great collage essay up by Sergei Sviatchenko
  • What could be more Canadian than this?
