Free Olafur Eliasson Waterfall Boat Tours Not Yet Booked Solid – Correction Appended

I suppose it’s just been that kind of day for us: Try getting through to Circle Line Downtown to book your free 30 minute boat tour to view the Olafur Eliasson Waterfalls and you’ll likely spend a lot of time with a busy signal. Not that it matters much – a source told me yesterday that after hours of trying to get through, he finally learned the cruise is sold out. UPDATE: Circle Line Downtown tells us not all of the free cruises are sold out. I guess that means I’ll be settling for the $25 dollar cruise promising a closer longer look at the falls, and one free drink with advance purchase. Meanwhile, 5 tickets are already available on Craigslist for $75.00. You might want to ask the seller what the original purchase price was though since scalping seems likely.

People from across the city, nation, and the world are calling for free and regularly priced tickets, which has increased the volume of requests to our call center. We appreciate everyone’s patience regarding busy signals and have now updated our website to allow the processing of free tickets online. We also urge customers interested in purchasing tickets to do so online. Waterfalls related tours begin at $10 (adult)
Circle Line Downtown would also like to thank Art Fag City for bringing the craigslist post to our attention. Our tickets clearly state that they are not for resale, and they can only be picked up the date of the cruise.
We appreciate everyone’s enthusiasm for this project. We are working hard to ensure that the public is able to experience this exhibit in a way that’s memorable, convenient and affordable.
