C-Monster’s photo (stolen above right) taken at Ad Hoc’s the Poets of the Paste, reminded me of Matthew Day Jackson’s first solo show at Perry Rubenstein Gallery in 2005.  Personally, I’m more interested in Jackson’s work; I respond to his use of folk art materials such as yarn, mother of pearl, and wood burning techniques, but whatever.  The general observation here is that Sacajawea type images seem to be making the rounds.
