And because the artists don't sell at auction, their inclusion will not translate into any market benefit for them.

Since such conclusions can't be made, the "biennial identifies the new, hot talent scout dealers" argument is a fallback. 

Really, it's as clear as calling Elizabeth Dee a 10-yr veteran and an upstart in the same sentence, or simultaneously declaring the exclusion of David Zwirner and the critical ascendance of Jason Rhoades. It's like a quantum phenomenon, both exist at once.</description>
