Almost Live At Eyebeam: The Great Internet Sleepover

In an misguided attempt to get a life, I’ve decided to blog live from Eyebeam. Reports thus far are as follows:

1. First and most importantly, I think I have a cold. This may explain why I want to complain about loud party music at….well, a party. This may also be the first and last post of the evening.

2. A discussion panel moderated by Marisa Olson, with panelists Michael Bell-Smith and Tom Moody was mediated by a noisy crowd who didn’t give a shit. Needless to say, nobody managed to come to any conclusions about whether “this” is a scene, (a word I suspect was being used in lieu of movement, a term so unfashionable no contemporary artist wants their name attached to it.)

3. What type of permissions does chmod 666 grant? This was one of many questions in a geek trivia game that just wrapped up, though I couldn’t maintain my interest long enough to see who won.  Jon Williams was killing before I left for a more comfortable couch.

Geek trivia answer key: All but executable (via bxk)

Thanks for coming Paddy!
– Yeah we sure didn’t re-write the 10 commandments or anything, but we had lotsa fun! Thanks for your insight during the roundtable/couch.
