Never Before Seen Alec Soth Photographs on Art Fag City!

It would appear as though A New American Portrait inspired a lot more than just endless online chatter, as art star photographer and blogger Alec Soth revealed a new body of work to AFC at Friday night’s opening. Titling the series something to the effect of “Photographs I took at My Own Opening” or “Pictures Paddy Johnson Asked Me to Take For Posting on Art Fag City,” this new shot from the hip work exhibits a still underdeveloped approach to his more recognized style. Of course, with a series as promising as this, if Soth continues in this vein I am sure we’ll see much the way of star copy catism possibly appearing on this blog. Word has it Jeff Koons has been dying to post a few of more cas works on AFC. Complete Alec Soth works on this flickr set.

Alec Soth captures the brooding genius of the show’s co-curator Jorg Colberg.

Not that this is all that interesting but Alec actually did take these shots using my Olympus c-4040.
Paddy, it was nice to meet you at the opening, however brief. It’s great that you know Bosko. This post cracks me up.
