A shampoo short probably not appropriate for ROFL! but totally weird non the less. Via Cory Arcangel.

What with my being out of the country for close to two weeks, I haven’t been able to post as much as I would like about ROFL!, an event I’ve been working on with John Seroff for the last couple of months. Touted as an Internet gong show of sorts, the competition takes place at 11:30 tomorrow night at Joe’s Pub, and brings together some of the best web mavericks working today. The concept is simple: Eight cewebrities pit their best Internet finds and creations, and the audience determines the winner of each round of submissions. Performer Reggie Watts raps about it, comedy duo Slovin and Allen make jokes about it.

Now, I realize it may seem counter intuitive to buy a ticket to watch stuff you can see for free online, but the point is you can’t experience the glory of improv and live competition from your laptop.  You need a bar for that.  As such, I invite everyone to cheer on  and vote for tomorrow’s best competitors. These people are: Josh Fruhlinger of Comics Curmudgeon and Wonkette, Cintra Wilson of Salon and Dregublog, Joe Garden of The Onion (the voice of Jim Anchower and Jackie Harvey), Vote Joe Garden! and Monkeywire, Michelle Collins of You Can't Make It Up and VH1's Best Week Ever, Andrew Baron, co-creator and producer of Rocketboom, Marisa Olson, artist / nasty nets member/ editor / curator of Rhizome.org, Stu VanAirsdale of The Reeler, and Charles Broskoski of Supercentral

Presented with The Onion and Paper Thin Walls

Additional production provided by John Seroff of The Tofu Hut, myself and Jon Williams of Wizard Is Hungry
