		<description>Epstein's work struck me too.  I like the deadpan way he captures the wiring of the world, the deal with the devil made for the way we live.

And you're right about the people being unnecessary, posed like figurines.  The simplest pictures were my favorites, like the Amos plant above, and the &lt;a href="http://sikkemajenkinsco.com/images/artists/mitchepstein_exh2/ME-ChevronOilRefinery05.html" rel="nofollow"&gt;Chevron Oil Refinery&lt;/a&gt;.</description>
